I have a pair of the 15-cell trays which came with my deep-root seedstarting systems, but I also purchased a pair of the 28-cell trays to allow for growing more seedlings in the relatively small boxes. The trays are well constructed and easy to use. Removing seedlings is a breeze, so long as they have a decent root system filling the cell.

With the terrible heat this year, and since I was late finding this product, I haven't used them yet. But they look like they will do the job well and be reusable for many years. I've tried a number of ways to start seeds and haven't really been satisfied with any of them. Since they have a large hole for great drainage, I plan to use a piece of a coffee filter in the bottom to hold the dirt in. If they work as well as I think they will, I'll order more.

I use this tray to transplant little seedlings, let it grow for a month or so before transplant it to the garden. Very good quality, size is right, and can be used over and over again.
