Comments about Deep-Root Seedstarting Trays:
I purchased a couple of pink ones when they were on sale and was so impressed with them that I purchased more to use for years to come.
My transplants developed much stronger root systems in these than in standard peat pots or the moo-pots. The large bottom holes make it easy to push them out for planting without as much damage.
These are easy to clean and very sturdy. I expect them to last for many years of use.

Comments about Deep-Root Seedstarting Trays:
The low rating is because this product was not what I thought it was. I thought it was the standard size of a seed flat, but it's small, about the size of a sheet of legal size paper. I can't comment on depth because I don't have experience with other products, but it's not as deep as the six packs you buy flowers in. I would have returned it except for the postage. That said, you can plant in it; the trick will be getting the sprouted seeds out.

Comments about Deep-Root Seedstarting Trays:
These are the greatest this I have ever used to start seeds of any type. I use them year round. I used the transplant pots the APS systems and grow plugs but these beat them all. Best part is that you can use any soil to fill them so it saves on the cost in the long run. Bottom watering with a large hole to push the plug out there are raised ridges to train the roots so most plants come out ready to grow with-out a tangle.

Comments about Deep-Root Seedstarting Trays:
For any seeds that I think may need special care -- in other words, most that I grow -- I count on the deep-root seedstarting system and these trays, which are still going strong after at least fifteen uses. I would agree with another reviewer that the 15-cell trays that come with the system are great for some plants but wholly too much room for others; I found that by picking up some 28-cell and 40-cell trays to tailor to each species' habit I can get the same fabulous results for every plant I start.

Comments about Deep-Root Seedstarting Trays:
My favorite tray for starting blueberry cuttings. The most durable tray I've every used. Can't get enough of 'em. Think this is my 4th or 5th buy.
