This is a fantastic idea. The rubber is thick and sturdy, but when it's filled with a block of frozen scrap, it's easy to bend to release the block into the compost bin outside. Fits nicely in my freezer, good size -- everything about this is terrific.
Pros
- Simple Easy Convenient
Cons
- None so far
Best Uses
This container can be hung from a drawer if counterspace is a lacking or set on the work surface. I place the contents in the compost bin every night when I take the dog out. Very easy to empty.
Pros
- Easy way to store compost
Cons
- Haven't Found Any Yet
Best Uses
- Kitchen
I use to have a ceramic compost container with biodegradable bags on my kitchen counter. There were always fruit flies present even with my fruit fly traps everywhere. No longer, just freeze the container with the compost until it is full. Then empty when you have time to jaunt out to the compost pile. Comes out of the dishwasher like new.
