They cut everything from tissue paper to woody plants; the Extra Long size is especially good for bonsai and other delicate work. The short blades give you excellent cutting leverage, and they have comfortable vinyl grips.

Have used these scissors for at least 15 years. They do eventually lose their sharp edge, especially if you cut woody plants with them. But I wouldn't be without them in the garden.

I am using them at the present time in the kitchen for herbs and some vegetables. It has a comfortable grip and I believe it will be good in the garden to harvest herbs and vegetables, lettuce, etc. I bought it for smaller jobs, not as an all-purpose scissor, and I think it will do the jobs I have in mind just fine.
I bought the shorter ones, so "long reach" doesn't apply.

So far, so good (I've had them about a month) with these very sharp scissors. They are comfortable to use, and cut paper and plants handily. I would not use them on woody plants larger than 1/4" in diameter because small scissors, no matter how sharp, aren't designed for that. I like them a lot, and if they remain as sharp as they are now, they'll be even bigger winners.
