Wanted to use this to keep the dogs from eating the dirt around plants. Way too easy for them to just nudge it out of the way. If it anchored into the soil better it would be a bit more effective

Our kitties were digging up the plants in the sunroom! I used these plastic strips (I've tried everything tin-foil, etc.)and it all stopped. It doesn't hurt them, but it sure keeps them out of the plants.
You do have to cut them up and put them where you want them.

Comments about Cat Scat Mats, Set of 5:
Have just "planted" my cat scat mats and am hoping they will solve the problem of my planters being used as litter boxes. It has been a few days and so far so good...but only time will tell.

It does work but it costs alot of money to purchase what I require to do my entire garden area. Wish they were sold in bulk.

For the price, the quantity of plastic spike is too little. Otherwise, excellent.

These also work great indoors. You know, sometimes a kitty decides he prefers the corner behind the couch? Not anymore! Safe and effective.

Comments about Cat Scat Mats, Set of 5:
I placed these indoors around a grouping of plants that the cats like to eat. Unfortunately, because of the small size, the cats are able to reach over and between them to nibble on the plants. They are priced too high to buy the amount (four orders) that I would need to surround the plants properly.

Comments about Cat Scat Mats, Set of 5:
Our kitten can't resist dirt - and indoors it's right there for her in my big houseplants. What a mess she made all over the floors--until I remembered my old catscats. I've used them outdoors for years, mostly in half barrel planters. They seem to last a long time. I'd love it if they weren't made from plastic, though I can see how wood or bamboo could be dangerous. I'm making an exception for these because I haven't found anything better, yet.

Comments about Cat Scat Mats, Set of 5:
We had cats visiting our new organic planting beds and wanted to nip their strolls through the soil quickly. This product was the only one that met all our criteria. Now if only the snow and rain and heavy winds would stop so that we could tell if the product works and then give it five stars! We love how the plastic spikes are effective but wouldn't harm a child if one put its hand in the plants at ground level.
