I expected one long rope of wick and wax. What I got was a series of unconnected circles stacked up on each other. When you pull one up, you're left with a dangle of candle.

I bought this candle for my in-laws two years ago. Every year for Christmas, I buy them a refill. They absolutely love it and burn it all year long. Very long lasting candle. Love that it is self extinguishing and there is no drippy waxy mess.

I love the design of this candle and the holder. The holder was slightly light weight - I was expecting a heavier metal. The candle is very safe b/c it will burn to the metal clasp and go out unles you pull up another piece of candle rope. I wish it had a stronger "beeswax" smell; the appearance looks like beeswax.
