Just fill with water half way place around you plant and then squeeze the top inward to make a cone and you have a mini hot house. I bought 6 and I am using them on my potted, passion vine and dwarf butterfly bush,to get a head start and it is working I'm going to set them up on the other pots tomorrow, to warm up the soil remove then place some tomatoes in pots and replace the tepee. Couldn't be easier or cheaper.
If you want to jump start the season give them a try.

Gardener's Supply used to have a connection for a hose to fill up the tubes in the walls of water. Do you still sell that item. It was sooooo easy to fill them up with this water gadget.

I got these for next season but am going on past experience. I have green teepees that I used for many years and felt they gave me a good head start for my tomatoes in my cold area. I am anxiously awaiting next year to try these red ones.

These things are great. You can see a big difference in the health and size of the plants started in the teepees compared to those planted without them. We had tomatoes in the ground 3 weeks earlier than normal. I just ordered more so every plant gets one next year!

I used them with inverted round tomato cages - the tomato cages keep the cones round and evenly distributed around the plant.

I have compared this product with clear water walls and they definately promote faster growth of the tomatoes.

I ordered 3 sets this year and wished I had ordered more. I ran an experiment to see if this product would work for me over here in windy, cool Spring Eastern Oregon conditions and worth the investment. I planted several tomatoes and peppers in the teepees and several without. The tomatoes in the teepees have blossoms and baby tomatoes. They are reaching for the sky and want out, but I am reluctant to subject them to our wind and cool Spring. The plants without the benefit of the teepees are pathetic and barely living.

Can be somewhat challenging to fill. Worked best with my husband helping to hold the teepees while I filled the teepees with water. Small price to pay for such an excellent product.

I used these on my baby tomatoes, cucumbers and squashes in the beginning of the season to warm them and keep them from too much wind and it worked. I have never had healthier or bigger plants before. They look cute to boot - like little teepees in the garden beds.

Bought three of these and set them up the first week of April. Found tomatoe plants and planted them inside the third week of April Also planted three plants without the tee pee's. Of course had a slight frost three days later. The tomatoes inside the tee pee's had no damage but the three outside of them had some damage but did not kill them. Now at the beginning of June the tomatoes that were inside the tee pee's are four feet tall and the others only around three feet tall.I am assuming that the red color helped with the growth rate. These things work and I am planning to get more for next year.
