Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
The red mulch really gives the tomatoes a head start,I used it last year for all my plants and had great success. This year I left two plants without just to see if it was the plastic or not and sure enough the plants with the plastic have ripe tomatos far earlier than the ones without.

Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
With minimal sun (mostly overcast) so far this summer I was afraid our tomatoes weren't going to do anything. But, since putting this under them they greened up, blossomed, and are tomatoes are growing like crazy.

improved design. I've used it for about three years, but this newer version- smaller sheets, holes for water drainage, makes it easier to use and no puddles for biting bugs.

Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
This is my first year using the red tomato mulch. I was skeptical when first putting it down, but was I ever wrong to be concerned. The mulch definitely warmed the soil, and I believe saved my tomato plants. I planted in late April, which is unusual, since normally I wait until late May. Some cold weather came along, and I thought for sure my plants would die, but instead they thrived! My plants are currently six feet tall, and my only problem is in my small garden, they simply don't have enough room to truly spread out. I will definitely use this red mulch again. My questions for now, since still my first year - will these be reuseable, and if so, how will I store? Also - taking a suggestion from anotehr review - next year I will put a flat soaker hose underneath - I've been concerned that the water may not be getting through, so I have to move the hose to the center cut - the rest seems to just trickle off to the sides of the plant. Then again, with the size of my plants, that could just be my perception and reality is again proving me wrong! Last - not so sure about it cutting out the weeds - plenty of weeds are popping up underneath the plastic around my plants - so I still have to go in and pull some out from underneath. The weeds have been cut back from what I had before without the plastic mulch, but has far from eliminated them.

Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
I garden in east-central Wisconsin on a small lake. I use Tomato Success Kits to grow tomatoes on my deck, which is 30 feet above ground. I get at least 8 hours of sun with a west exposure. I have 8 plants, and supply the two of us, many guests, and neighbors with tomatoes from mid-July until October. The red tomato mulch is essential to keep the top part of the soil moist. However, I have to cut the sheets to fit, and cut slits to fit precisely around the plants, which is time-consuming, but the results are worth it.

Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
I've used for years and always had excellent results--cherry, Romano, and regular tomatoes. I don't want to experiment to see what happens if I don't use it! I need a longer piece (width is fine) as you used to have. One can always cut down, but it's a pain to overlap and anchor down smaller pieces.

I place the red film over the soaker hose, fit around the tomato plant and cage, anchored at corners with red rock scraps. I've shared this with my daughter who is in a community garden this year.
