For over 25 years, our garden carts have been a beloved tool of gardeners everywhere. That’s because they were designed specifically to meet the needs of gardeners, not adapted from an industrial utility cart. The big wheels with pneumatic tires roll easily over rough terrain. High sides prevent loose loads like mulch and compost from bouncing out. The axle is positioned to distribute the weight and balance the load. The long handle lets you push or pull with equal ease and has a comfortable neoprene grip. Tough, rust-proof aluminum frame; end slides open for easy dumping. Once you own one of our carts, it’s hard to imagine getting by without it. In fact, many of the original carts are still out there, working hard. Rated "Excellent" by a leading consumer magazine.

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
We like the cart, but the assembly took way too long and was frustrating. One of our tire tubes had a hole in it so we had to buy a new one. One of the handles was bent and this caused huge assembly headache. Overall assembly was a nightmare - holes not drilled out or matched, missing bolts, unclear directions. Very frustrating. The cart is great - wish the paint finish was more weatherproof.

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
Bought this cart for my wife to haul horse hay on. Assembly with both of us was difficult at best. Holes didn't line up, bolts were indicated in some places where screws were provided, and the manufacturing process should have addressed these problems already since almost all the comments have addressed difficulty of assembly.

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
Cart arrived ok but three concerns after assembly:
1)One wheel was bent and wobbled very noticably.Customer Service sent another which was also wobbly but not as bad. CS sent another which had straighter rim, but old oxidized tire!
2)Leg brace too long. After assembly, the rear sides of cart were forced inwardly by 1 1/2 inches. Brace too strong to bend much. Replacement sent by CS, but leg stand sent erroneously. Finally replacement brace sent, but 1/2 in. longer than original. Finally I bent upper portion of leg stands outward to keep cart sides straight.
3) Bolts through bottom plywood too long and extend 1/8 inch above surface. I replaced with 1/4 x 1/2 in. bolts.

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
The biggest problem in assembling this cart happened towards the end, with the legs. The flat end must clip under the frame but the rounding was not done properly. We were forced to bend it at least an inch so that it slotted properly; so we could see the hole. Another problem is that if assembled according to the drawings, the gate latch(s) at the back of the cart must be assembled reversed to allow the gate to close completely. It took us about 3 hours to assemble the cart. Lastly, there were two other items that bother me as an engineer: the wood finish seems inadequate and the latches (Nuts that the bolts screw into during assembly of the cart --- I think they are called stars.) only grip into the plywood by 3-4 narrow prongs. These popped out several times and seem to apply too much pressure to the wood. It seemed at times as though the wood would give out and the metal would push through.
Otherwise, in workability, the cart is everything it says here. It will carry over 200 pounds, if dispersed and is perfect for the job we have planned: managing a 1/4 acre vegetable garden.

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
I bought this cart in the largest available size. It is a great cart, but I could probably do fine with a smaller size. It is very big and great for hauling bags of soil and plants, but it does get heavy! Construction quality is very good, but assembly was harder than anticipated. I am pretty handy, so I feel qualified to say that this cart definitely required some patience to assemble. The handles didn't line up with the pre-drilled holes on the sides, so I had to bend them to fit (why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). Overall, a great and handy cart for the garden (once assembled).

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
I have never written a review about a product: good or bad. But this cart has changed that.
I assembled and used the same cart several years ago and had no problems putting it together. But this cart was a different story...
The assembly was unbelievably difficult. The instructions were not clear but that was a minor issue. It took *at least* eight hours to put the cart together. I spent six (over two days) until I handed it over to my husband who spent two hours finishing it (which made me realize that it really was as difficult as I thought it had been). Holes did not align and we actually had to bend the leg stands to be able to attach them to the cart.
Once it's together it is great and that's why I gave it two stars. But I would not recommend it to any of my friends because of the terrible quality when it comes to assembly.

Cart is well made and efficient to use. Was not easy to assemble as the directions were not well written. Once putting them aside, we got along with the assembly much better!

Comments about Large Gardener's Supply Cart:
Longevity! We had an old Garden Way cart which we'd had so long it was part of the family ... 30 years at least ... it was a bit lopsided and battle worn from its years of service in all seasons on our farm. Then we moved 2000 miles away to build our retirement home in the mountains and found we couldn't function without our beloved cart (which we'd left on the farm). Stacking firewood simply required a cart, so I searched the web and was pleased to find that the very same cart was still available. Our new cart is now installed with us here in the wild west and we are set for another 30 year stretch of doing chores together. Thank you for keeping a wonderful workhorse design alive!

Had one when I lived in New York. I now live in Florida and bought another cart as the one I had in New York I gave to a friend. Could not own a house without one.
