Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
I like to plant my tomato plants very early in the season. I used to have problems with aphids but don't when I used red mulch.

Comments about Red Tomato Mulch, Set of 8:
We had a bumper crop when I used these. I can't be sure if it was the red mulch or if it was the weather but the red mulch definitely did not hurt because we had a lot of tomatoes. I will be using them again next year. I already ordered them. I thought about trying to reuse them but they got a bit tattered after one year. Make sure you buy the earth staples to hold them down and you may want to poke holes to allow more water to get through to the soil but even if you don't they still work well.

We're on our 3rd summer of using this same tomato mulch and have had amazing results with productivity compared to our tomato plants without the mulch. I've now bought some as gifts for family members who are impressed with the quantity of tomatoes our plants produce!

This is very easy to use, and has really helped us to grow our tomatoes. They keep weeds away, and seem to have also helped somewhat in keeping blight away. We still had to spray with copper sulfate to arrest blight, but I think that the red mulch has helped a great deal as well.

I had heard this was to be a great product, but found out the hard way otherwise. First the sheets are too difficult to place in an existing bed without securing at least two of the corners first. Now that I have had on them on a while water pools on top, while weeds push up from the bottom. Even worse I have found mosquito larvae in the water! I think I will stick with straw and grass.

I grow tomatoes in containers so I just tucked the sheets around the plant. So far they have been very helpful at keeping the pots from drying out as quickly.
