When it comes to strength and convenience, no imitation can compare with Velcro® self-gripping tape. And we've discovered that it's perfect to use as plant ties — soft enough to coddle the most delicate flower stems, yet strong enough to hold heavy tomato plants and secure vines to a trellis. Green color disappears into foliage.

Comments about Re-Usable Plant Ties:
My husband uses these ties along with the bamboo supports to tie up his hundreds of dahlias. When the season is over, he pulls the supports and ties, wrapping the ties around a reel and stores them for use the next year, replacing used ones as needed. They normally last at least two to three years before becoming ineffective.

Finally something that is easy to use, effective and stays put. I have given a couple of rolls to someone who raises grapes and makes wine.

Comments about Re-Usable Plant Ties:
This product is perfect for tying up raspberry canes in the fall. I have used and re-used some of these pieces for three years now. The tape makes quick work of an onerous task in the fall.

Comments about Re-Usable Plant Ties:
Is good when there is a permanent structure to tie it too. Held up good, with velcro connecting keeping loaded tomato vines, supported by green-house bars from flopping over.

Comments about Re-Usable Plant Ties:
These velcro ties are great. I just cut the length that is needed and can very gently wrap it around the most delicate stem. They are very sturdy and I remove them when cutting back the plants and save them to use the next year.

Comments about Re-Usable Plant Ties:
I have Marionberries across a section of my back fence. I have used rags and bent hangers to try to contain them in the past with no ill effect. Then, last fall, I decided to neaten them up with this product. Every cane that was constrained by the velcro did not survive. I usually have a substantial crop of berries. This year - due to the loss of several canes - the berries were significantly limited. Fortunately Marionberries are survivors and there remain some new canes coming up. So I am hopeful that in future the berries will match prior years. But maybe there should be a warning that there are some plants that do not survive this restraint.
I have also used it on Wysteria - with no bad effects at all. Go figure.
