The Ravello planters look so real you would never know they aren't real pottery.

Looks good. Could use better instructions on how to insert perforated plate into vase.

looks nice on the deck, and i do not have to worry as much about keeping thing watered, if it came with instructions on set up and use it would make me feel better about the product.

The interior parts are a bit flimsy as the one of the 'petals' on the volume seperator broke [...] Also the assembly documentation leaves something to be desired on clear instructions.

I bought two of these planters with the self watering inserts. There were instructions saying to put drainage holes in the planter if it was going to used outdoors. I am currently using it indoors but in warmer weather the plant will go outdoors, so I drilled 4 holes in the planter.I did not drill holes in the second planter because it is being used only inside.
It seems that the instructions do not take into consideration the use of the self-watering inserts. The planter with the holes does not work. The one without holes works to keep the plant moist. The one with the holes is dry. The holes allow the water reservoir to empty.
It appears that Gardener's Supply added their self-watering inserts to a product with directions that do not envision the pot being used as a self-watering pot. Hopefully, I can cault the holes closed. I don't want to have to re-pot the plant at this point.

There is an tube for adding water that drains into a small container that you place in the bottom of the pot. The tube, at full extension, is barely long enough to stick out of the dirt and constantly collapses making it impossible to use. Would never get this product again; a total waste of money.

The self-watering system does not work well on these planters and we have found that we must top water to keep plants alive. The Terraza planters self watering system works. This has been consistent with the different planters we have ordered. The Terrazza all work, the pot styles do not work. That being said the pots are easy to use and have added interest to the garden.

I have enjoyed the pot, on it's own. The self watering tube does not come up high enough to clear the soil line, where it should be. The soil should come within 2" of the top of the pot.

I am using with the recommended potting soil. My plants are hale and hearty, even after a 2 week vacation.
