NEW | Raised Bed Snip-n-Drip Soaker System

I bought this kit to set up an irrigation system for my upright raised garden bed (VegTrug). I am starting seeds in it, so I wanted an easy way to water the garden, and it was importatnt that it was a drip hose (so the watering would saturate and not drown).

The instructions were clear, the setup was easy and quick - it took me less than 20 minutes.

I currently have this set up so the drip hose is above the garden. I did this because I knew I would be adding and moving plants around and didn't want to have to fight with the hose, or accidentally damage seedlings with the hose. I have it attached to the frame on the VegTrug with jute and garden velcro strips.

As you can see in the close up picture, I cut the hose a bit too long - that's why it isn't sitting flush against the garden bed leg. This was my fault, and I plan to fix it (cutting the hose is probably the hardest part). As long as you cut the hose to the correct length, it should fit snugly against whatever surface you install it next to.

After using this kit, I plan to buy another larger setup for the front yard, and then a splitter and timer.

The hoses and the hookups seem to be high quality, I don't anything will break or malfunction anytime soon.

Agree with others. It can't be customized. You need more end caps but can't buy them separately. This is a great idea and ecological for water conservation but if one ends up buying unnecessary amounts of hose, then it defeats this purpose. Would be nice to have more options to buy different components separately.

Completely agree with other comments. Is anyone in a responsible position at Gardeners reading the comments and doing something about it.

i have raised beds and needed a system for watering that did not use sprinklers, but watered all my beds without watering inbetween them, these worked great.

I came to the website to "customize" my watering system. I had hoped to order more vertical couplers to accomodate my raised beds. I was disappointed that they are not offered seperately. It appears that I am not the only one.

I completely agree with Bummed. This is a fabulous product idea, but I have 6 raised beds that I want to outfit with this, and I want to purchase the angled couplers individually, not purchase 6 raised bed sets (I don't need anywhere near that much hose). I was thrilled when I saw the "Want to Customize?" footer in my catalog, but was dismayed when I came to the website and realized that angled couplers cannot be purchased individually. Even the other couplers cannot be purchased individually, you have to order 6. Annoying, and currently precluding me from purchasing this product. I called my local irrigation supply company, and it sounds like there are alternatives to this that would do the same thing, but be cheaper and more easily customized. Bummer.

I don't see an option to purchase end caps individually, either.

This product needs to be further adapted for customization, in my opinion. Not currently flexible enough.

The snip n drip system is great but we need to be able to order additional angle couplers separately. There are not enough included in this set if you have multiple beds! And if you order multiple sets to get enough couplers, then you have lots of leftover pieces of hose, etc. I would give it a million stars instead of just one if we had the option of ordering additional angle couplers!
