We plan to use these as a teepee so sweet potato vines can grow and cover the spiral stakes / for now, they are decorative only in the still-bare bed.

I have two of these sets in my yard. An out-of-town visitor admired them so I sent her a set as a birthday gift. HOWEVER, I am not using mine as supports for growing things...mine are strictly GARDEN ART!! I have them grouped close together (in two different areas of my yard) and I refer to them as SCULPTURE. Visitors to my yard love them and so do I!!

Since they have arrived in the dead of winter, I am sorry I can not comment on their use or durability.

I like the simplicity of these. They have lasted me 3yrs so far and are amazingly effective in holding up tomatoes. You do need to make sure the supports are next to the tomato plants before they get over 1 or 2 ft tall or you will end up using ties to make the tomato plant stay because of the plant's weight. I would really love these to be taller. My plants end up doubling over on themselves since these aren't as tall as the avg. tomato plant. One other feature that would be a bonus is to have some sort of horizontal pieces that could be clamped on from one spiral to another to create support for the off shoots when a person doesn't want to clip these back.
