Comments about Rainwater Urn, 50 Gallon:

It looks nice, but my father and I had some difficulty getting the downspouts to match up to the rain barrel. Then with the first rain, the barrels overflowed. My biggest complaint is the lack of overflow hose. The water overflows the top, fills the planter, making it useless and flows down the side. I need to figure out where to drill holes to make an overflow hose. Also, make sure to use plumber's tape to seal the faucet.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 50 Gallon:

Wehen we got the package, the bag wrapped the barrel was tore and there is no instruction or parts. I contacted the customer service and they emailed me the copy of instruction. When we opened the barrel followed the instruction, we found all parts and the instruction are in the barrel. (It is hard to figure out to open the barrel). We think we got someone's returned product. The screen guard was subtly broken and bended. We are not super happy about the condition of the product. The material looks plasticky, and the parts
(connection to the horse) are cheap and fragile.
The customer service at gardeners.com was really professional and helped us to figure out the missing parts quickly, otherwise we would give lowest review to the product.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 50 Gallon:

I bought the 50 gal barrel thinking it would take some time to fill. I wish I would have ordered the larger barrel. I was amazed at how much water comes off the roof in even a mild So CA rain shower. The barrel seems well made and the few parts that had to be assembled were easy to do.

The product is fine but was shipped with missing parts. The first attempt by customer service failed to supply the missing parts. Hopefully a second request and effort by customer service will resolve this. Keep you fingers crossed.

Fills much faster than anticipated. Hoses and clamps never fit. We bought our own hoses and will have to get longer hoses. Love the fact that they are both beautiful and functional.

As stated above, the bottom spigot is not secure even though I used the white tape to thread it. two parts separate and is sensitive to movement of the barrel. If I don't touch anything, I seem to be ok.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 50 Gallon:

I purchased one of these last year and loved it so bought another one this year.
We in adverdently put the diverter from the downspout too high so it didn't divert water back to the downspout when the barrel was full. Which is why I bought another one and the connector hose to connect them together.
Works great. During a big downpour though it filled both barrels and then ran all over the back porch. I simply pulled out the hose that came from the downspout and let the water go out into a flowerbed.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 50 Gallon:

This was my first rain barrel given as a gift for Christmas. It is over two years old and still works well. I usually use the spigot for filling up watering cans. The hose on the bottom is a little difficult to use- there isn't enough pressure to hold hose up and push water out, so I just use it to water the nearby shrub. Overall, I'm happy with it.
