Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Living in an earthquake state, I'd like the dual purpose of both summer watering and a potable supply should an earthquake emergency arise. The plastic is not safe for use for drinking water (even with the addition of sanitizing tablets in the emergency) due to the leaching of plastics; comes with the warning but not identified as such in the catalog. Thus, I have a hefty return postage fee in addition to the extra mailing fee when ordered.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
Great product with only one booboo, it really needs a decent brass hose bib. I went out and bought one and tossed the one that came with the urn into the garbage.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
It was a gift to a master gardener friend. And she loves it! The area that allows a plant on top is a nice added feature. The 65 gallon size will support alot of savings on the water bill.
Love it, Love it!

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
This is a great product, well made and easy to install. The only CON is the "planter" area at the top. This area is NOT acceptable to plant in as there is no drain and the plants would get root rot for standing in water. It seems the only thing this area will do is provide a mosquito breeding ground.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
I bought the rain barrel as a Christmas gift for my daughter - she has a well and wanted this to add to her water supply. In the bitter cold here this winter she hasn't yet set it up but is really looking forward to using it. It is attractive and I like the idea of being able to sit a plant in it. Also, it's lightweight which is a nice feature.

This works very well. I can get my watering can under the faucet to fill it or use the hose from underneath to water the nearby garden. the hose does not leak at the connection to the earn like other models. I brought it in for the winter.

I love the looks of this barrel for collecting our rain water. In the summer when we have no rain, I will fill it to use as a reservoir for automatically watering my tomatoes on my deck.

Beautiful alternative to other rain barrels. Gutter connection to small opening can be a challenge.

Comments about Rainwater Urn, 65 Gallon:
We have been planning this purchase for years. When Gardener's Supply started marketing this style of collection barrel, we were very pleased. We purchased a 65-gallon and the 45-gallon. They assembled easily enough. It would be nice if the hose was offset from the spigot of the 45-gal. like it is with the 65-gal. It would be nice if we could get water out of the spigot or hose. The barrel is 1/3 full and trying to get water out today was not successful. Will try again when the barrel is fuller?
Anyone else experience this issue of getting water out of the barrels?
