Comments about 30" Railing Planters:
This is a beautiful and easy way to adorn your deck railings and make it feel like your in the garden. No complaints. This item will eventually crack from sundamage after years of use. This item is worth the price and I'm purchasing again.

For those of you having trouble getting the label off, try vinegar on a wet rag or purchase a bottle of Goo Gone from [...] or [...] and it will come right off. I've had my white planters for three years and to keep them steady I placed a layer of small stones like you find for an aquarium on the bottom. Now I need to replace because the white is very difficult to clean and remove the mildew that you get here in Florida.

Comments about 30" Railing Planters:
One planter blew off railing in a gusty thunder storm. It looked like the others were ready to go so I took them down. I need to find a way to secure planters to my new plastic railings without drilling holes in them. What can be used to remove the label glue?

Comments about 30" Railing Planters:
What a pleasant surprise. I wanted planters for my small deck to grow summer herbs to keep them handy when cooking. I found that I was too lazy to go outside to pick the herbs in the garden, or I simply forgot them. I don't have room for alot of table or floor pots, so an over-the-rail solution was a must. I did alot of research prior to purchasing. Even contacted GS to ask where the drainage holes are (on the bottom of the side 'saddles').
I only use ceramic planters inside and outside the house, no plastic, so I was a bit nervous that these would look cheap or cheesy.
I love these planters! They stay on my deck railing and they really look good. They hold alot of soil and plants (I have the 36" ones). Alot. I live in the Northwest, so our summers are short. My annual herbs and flowers won't have a long time to grow, so they won't outgrow these containers, but I can see how plants in longer growing season locales can get crowded. The part of the planter that is directly above the upper railing cover is a bit shallow. but the side saddle areas are plenty deep.
I would definitely recommend these to anyone - even people who think plastic containers look cheap. These are very attractive, and the Mocha color that I purchased is very good-looking.

I have not been disappointed in purchasing these. I live in a condominium with minimal plant space so these allow me to have the annual color I crave and the ability to decorate my upstairs deck. I too was concerned about the price but have purchased additional items since my initial purchase. I love these!

It is so much fun to see flowers at eye level now with these wonderfully fitting boxes on my deck. Always had to go to ground level to admire my flowers and plants, now all I do is look out my back door and I have all the colors and glory that I need all summer long. Thanx for a great product.

These are outstanding on my deck. I have high winds at times and these did not budge. I plan on adding more next year. Wish they had one in a single pot!

Comments about 30" Railing Planters:
I am very satisfied with the use and appearance of the sadle groove containers over my deck rail. What I haven't yet accomplished is getting the plastic labels off. The paper part came off fine but the plastic part is still there and will only come off in tiny pieces. Has anyone found a method that works?

After trying to use hang-on brackets on our deck rails, these are a snap to use.
I bought 2- 30inch and 3- 24 inch in bronze.
The planters fit perfectly and look almost custom made because the bronze color is a perfect match to our gutters.
I did drill some extra holes in them for better drainage.
They are filled with portulaca on the sunny side of the deck and torenia on the shady side.
