                Didn't last

Had this for two months before it broke. One day I was water, and the whole front just fell off. I was also disappointed with the inconsistency in terms of turning the water spray on and off. It has a button on it that's supposed to do so, but if the water pressure is not high enough, it won't work. I had to turn down my hose because the water this wand pushed out was too strong for my seedlings. Using the "misting" setting was not practical, as I was trying to avoid watering the leaves any more than I needed to. I've since had to buy another (Dramm) which has worked better for me.

I was disappointed in the wand as it drips at the point where it connects to the new hose I also bought from gardeners.com.

Otherwise, if it didn't drip, I would be happy with other qualities of the wand.

I have fours spots across the front of my house where I put up hanging plants. every year the one I hang on the end is so high that I have trouble keeping it watered, and it always dies ... that is ... until this year! I keep my watering wand plugged right into the hose near this plant, and simply hit the button, turn the sprayer down and towards the plant, reach up slightly, and keep the hanging plant easily watered. No dead hanging plant for the first time in years!

The wand is hardier than plastic ones I have purchased. If it continues to work well next year, it deserves 5 stars.

As good as watering wands get I guess

The thing is, for what this wand cost, I was expecting something really well made. It works well enough, but the "mist" setting clogged up after three days and there really is no good way to take the spray head apart to clean out the orifices.

There was a small drip where it connects to the hose which I solved with teflon tape. After a week, the spray wand blew off of the valve body. The wand is secured with a screw on compression fitting which I was able to take apart and thread back on, but then there was a leak at the connection. I tore it down again and wrapped the threads liberally with teflon tape and was able to reduce this to a slow drip.

After two weeks, the chrome finish around the trigger button began to peel away.

I bought this to use indoors, but it's not much good for that because I can't walk from the utility sink where it's connected to the plant area without dripping water all over my clothes and the floor between the two areas.

Anyway, I was about to send it back, but my wife said that her mother would like to use it in her garden, so we gave it to her. I feel a bit guilty passing this off to my mother-in-law, but reportedly, she is happy with it since she only uses it outside.

I like the concept of the on-off button, which works very well. But the spray wand itself is poorly made. Water sprays all around from gaps in the top of the spray head, as well as from the holes where it is supposed to spray. Also, while the head offers several different spray styles, none are really gentle.
