Comments about Predascent for Deer:
With large numbers of free roaming deer, my flowering trees initially suffered in early spring. As soon as I put this product out, the repeated de-nuding stopped. The capsules respond to rain by creating four-inch gel blobs on the mulch surrounding the tree trunks, lumps that I felt I needed to rake in. The process was easy and quick, however, and the results justify the product use.

Comments about Predascent for Deer:
Living in the woods, the deer would destroy all of my vegetation (flowers, veggies, etc). This product really works and now I can keep my gardens looking wonderful instead of creating them for deer food.

Comments about Predascent for Deer:
There are almost no instructions on the package about how to use this product -- it just states that the more water the capsules receive, the more effective they are. So, I soaked one capsule in water for 15 - 20 minutes, then put it in a six inch pot that had a single impatiens, (which had been covered with netting), and set the uncovered pot in the yard. The next morning, the impatiens plant had been devoured by the deer.
The website of the manufacturer shows the product as a mass of gel, but mine was still in capsule form when I put it in the sacrificial impatiens pot. Is that the trick? Do the capsules have to turn to gel before being effective? If so, it would be good to know that. If not, these simply aren't the least bit effective.
P.S. This little experiment took place on the North Fork of Long Island, NY, in an area very densly populated with deer.

Comments about Predascent for Deer:
I have tried many shaker or spray type of products, even using recipes for home made pest repellants, and nothing has worked so well or last so long as
these gel capsules.
Comments about Predascent for Deer:
The deer kept eating the plants. I saw no effect of the product, at all.
