I tried using this to plant lettuce. It wasn't bad enough that the seeds were the same color as the soil. When you press the top, it sends out a lot of air, so you don't really know if you put a seed in the ground or not. Would never buy this again or recommend it to anyone. Not worth the money.

I hope that sticking a needle into a seed doesn't "kill" the germination. It is much too expensive - having seen a similar item for $6.95 after I placed my order. I expected more for the money. I will probably use it for planting flowers in my "pots" on my deck or patio.

I have never used anything other than my clumsy fingers, and decided to give this product a try. It is great! Very useful to place small seeds where you want them to greatly reduce thinning out seedlings. I wish the instructions were more clear, but I figured it out by experimenting.

I LOVE this product for planting those tiny seeds. You can precisely plant as many seeds as you want in a pot. Previously, I would have to sprinkle seeds and there was such a waste because I couldn't control how many were planted. This year I used this and was able to plant as few seeds as I wanted into a single pot. It is a little hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it works wonderfully.

I, like my Father before me, love gardening. My earliest childhood memories include going from farm market to farm market trying to find certain varieties of tomatoes and pepper plants as well as arms full of seed packets.
Gas prices and attempts to save as much money as possible have me searching for tools to aid in starting my own seeds. Tiny seeds such as celery, broccoli and carrots had me wasting countless seeds. The Precision English Seeder allowed me to "precisely" place ONE seed into each cell of the flat. It was so easy to use that my eleven-year-old daughter was able to help. Thank you for a GREAT product!
