Comments about Precision Drip Spikes, Set of 4:
In Georgia it is a challenge to keep plants thriving, especially when you can't garden every day. The Precision Drip Spikes are perfect for any plant that needs help from the wilting heat. My hostas have been saved to live another year!

Comments about Precision Drip Spikes, Set of 4:
Using to keep my outdoor potted morning glories properly quenched during this summer heat spell. Set drips to intermediate setting and filled with water-nothing happened as of next morning. Checked each filter and waited until drips were visualized. Working better now, but still not as well as I had hoped.

I have clay soil and it was very hard to push the spikes into the ground. I also had problems putting the bottles onto the spikes. Either way, it was difficult. I am in my mid 30s so I wasn't weak or anything. And you must add sand into the spikes as directed to slow down the water flow. I will try this again on amended soil and see how it goes. I know for sure that if you have clay, then it might not be worth it until you amend your soil.

Comments about Precision Drip Spikes, Set of 4:
I ordered the Precision Drip Spikes, the Tomato Automators, and the Aqua Cones for my outdoor garden and strongly prefer the simple, effective design of the Aqua Cones to the others. The main problem I have with the precision drip spikes is that the water drips from the surface, and does not water directly to the root zone like the Aqua Cones. They are also unnecessarily complicated and too expensive. The Aqua Cones are simple in design, cheap, and effective.

Comments about Precision Drip Spikes, Set of 4:
This is year two for me. Last year they worked pretty well except when the bottles tipped over. I use the Drip Spikes at my vacation home so it's important that this device work. When I tried again this year, they kept clogging. I wondered what was wrong with ME ... hence the subject on this comment. I agree with all of you. This is a great idea but the execution needs refining. Thanks for your comments.

Comments about Precision Drip Spikes, Set of 4:
Emptied the entire bottle when 1st filled it in < 12 hours. Then slowly. Refilling the bottles - they either tipped over or came off completely. No "checking the soil moisture" feature, as in "Does it need water now?"
