Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
Every year I plant at least 200 bulbs all over our yard. This is THE gadget for fast easy planting, never have I gotten them all in the ground in such a short time. Next year, I think I could order 400 bulbs!

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
Easily bores holes but clogs with dirt. Clearing the dirt takes time.

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
Works great, but in my clay type soil the corded drill is better. The cordless went thru the batteries fast. These were for 6-7" holes.
Went very fast for 3" holes.
Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
The Bulb Bopper was a big disappointment. It was slow, slow, slow to make a hole. In fact, we gave up on it and bought an old-fashioned manual bulb planter which--in the same planting bed--was much easier to dig holes with.

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
The last 10 years, I add at least 800-1000 bulbs to my 1/2-acre garden. With the conventional way, I spend at least 3-4 days. Since I got the device, it took only 6 hours. The device is good only on dry soil, if wet, wet dirt sticks and make the job very difficult. To prevent this, either wait 5 days after rain or spray WD40 inside and outside.

best product of this type we have used. a model to make a larger hole, think daffodils would be more handy.

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
I use the product to bore holes for tree fertilizer spikes. I have hard clay soil, and it is the only thing I've found that will work.

Just need to be sure to clear out the dirt that it picks up to be more efficient.. a little dowel rod comes with it.

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
This tool works great in very stone/clay soil. I found it very easy to use with a 1/2" cordless drill. One word of safety donot turn the drill on while clearing the soil plug from the tool. I found it safer to remove the tool from the drill to clear the soil plug. This is easy to do if your drill is equiped with a keyless chuck.

Comments about Bulb Bopper®:
Great for planting bulbs in established beds as little disturbance to surrounding plantings. Does not create wide enough hole for double nosed large bulbs; however can be used to create a starter hole which you can enlarge. You need to have a heavy duty cordless drill for this to be fun--and it is. Be sure to use the wooden dowel provided to poke out dirt if needed. Since your trigger finger is hovering on the drill trigger, to use your fingers to push out dirt could be dangerous.
