Bought this as a Christmas gift for my folks (they are the master gardeners, not me!) who just downsized to a townhome with a tiny yard and certainly don't need gifts of more stuff or high calorie snacks. This fit the bill perfectly. They followed the instructions exactly and are on their third crop of mushrooms! Also bought them the white button kit with same results (and I posted this review there as well).

Purchased the mushrooms for mother in law this christmas. Box shiped with name of product all over the outside...no surprise if seen! The box was left at our front door, in the snow, we did not discover the box until it sat out all night. The box was to be kept at a warmer temp, until given a xmas. Only one mushroom grew, gee could it be that the box was exposed to 20 degrees over night? She enjoyed growing the one, and ate it promptly when picked. Have wait about 2 mores weeks tending to the box, but no other mushrooms have grown.

WE gave my Dad one of these kits last year and he had several nice batches. This year i gave one to my friends and saw it several times a week. they were keeping it at the right temp in a cool, dark place and only had three mushrooms total. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!
