This is a great nightlight. Because the bulb is encircled by the porcelain and the nightlight can be pivoted to be upright, sideways, or facing down, you can be sure to have no glare from the light bulb. The leafy pattern is really attractive.
Some people may not like the dark clay. It is quite a dark color when the light is not lit. This wasn't so clear in the catalog photo. It's listed as black porcelain, but could be dark blue. I think it looks nice.

I have purchased nightlights before, and they never seem to work- not bright enough, cheap in design, and not adjustable. I have this nightlight at the bottom of some stairs. It's perfect. The light actually adjusts to any angle. I can see down the stairs and it illuminates the floor next to the guest room. It looks better plugged in than the actual picture.
