Last year was the first time I used this product and the container. Using the self watering container and the mix with the fertilizer improved the growth of my tomatos. I live in the south and it gets really hot. The mix helps to hold moisture and give the plants what they need.

I bought the Tomato Success Kit Replenishment Pack which unfortunately included Gardener's Best Organic Tomato Fertilizer which attracted a raccoon who dug all of the material out of the planter, no doubt searching for whatever the organic fertilizer was made of.

I have used these kits for about ten years. The care of the plants is minimal, and the output of these kits is consistenly bountiful. Our grandsons each have a kit in which they plant cherry tomatoes each year. We have a total of four kits. We have given these items as gifts to those who want tomatoes but dont think they have the time.
