Still not sure I needed this for the self-watering container I bought but got it just to ensure success with the container & the plants. I like that is was orgainic mix because I'm using it for edible plants. I mixed this soil with compost from my bin. Only 1 month used but so far it seems to have worked out well.

Last fall I used this mix in a large self-watering planter. The Top Hat blueberry that I planted in it thrived in its first year. My only issue is that it is somewhat expensive compared to the potting soil made from local compost and I feel bad about having dirt shipped from Vermont to Seattle.

Third year using this container mix in conjunction with my Self-Watering Tomato Success Kit and my tomatoes continue to be healthier, stronger and twice the size than ever. Excellent product!!

This soil in combination with the organic tomato fertilizer has produced the most amazing tomatoes and peppers. For comparison, I planted some of the same tomatoes (same cell pack) in my garden, where the soil is not great, but not awful either, and the tomato plants in the self-watering container in this soil with the organic tomato fertilizer are more than twice the size of the ones I planted in the garden...and I'm eating off the ones for which I used this soil; the garden tomatoes aren't quite ready (maybe another week or so).

I've used this with my tomato and pepper plants. They are all doing great! I've a bit of mold due to rain amounts, but it goes away.

This growing medium is a joy to use. The full bag doesn't weigh a ton, so it's easy for a gal to handle.It's so fluffy and rich-looking I'm sure my tomato plant is going to reward me with a bumper crop! I love that it already has beneficial mycorrhizae and compost in it to start my plant out right.

Very consistent product that provides excellent medium for all kinds of plants. Every plant (flowers and veggies) in every situation (container, window box, veggie bag) has flourished. It does cake a bit but this is a small thing. Unfortunately, its price [...] will keep me from using it in the future.
