Feast on Delicious Home-Grown Gourmet Potatoes

  • It's easy and fun to grow potatoes!
  • Enjoy unusual, delicious varieties not typically sold in supermarkets
  • Our seed potatoes are grown organically in Maine

All kinds of gardeners are trying their hand at growing their own potatoes, and for very good reasons. Homegrown potatoes are delicious and there’s a variety for every purpose: roasting, frying or salad making.

Butte is a russet variety — the classic for fluffy baked potatoes. Also ideal for boiling and for making French fries, it's high in vitamin C and protein, too. Late season (110-135 days to maturity).

Elba potatoes are a great beginners’ variety with outstanding resistance to disease and drought, and firm, flavorful white flesh. Early season (70-90 days to maturity).

Rose Finn Apple Fingerling is a rare and beautiful rosy-colored fingerling potato with moderately dry yellow flesh. Late season (105-135 days to maturity).

Rose Gold is a very attractive and rich-tasting variety with red skin and yellow flesh. It's delicious baked and steamed and is especially good in creamy soups. Mid season (90-110 days to maturity).

Yukon Gold is a yellow-fleshed potato renowned for its outstanding flavor and texture. It’s very versatile — enjoy it baked, boiled, mashed or fried. Early season (70-90 days to maturity).

  • Yield from 1 lb. is approx. 10-20 lbs. of potatoes
  • Varieties are sold in 1-pound bags

When we opened the packaging the potatoes were small and not-so-firm: doubted they would amount to much. However, these are - BY FAR - the most sturdy, tall, and healthy plants of any variety we planted from various vendors. We will purchase more next year!

People are lining up for these potatoe. People love potatoes. I can't wait until they are ready for picking. I hope the critters don't eat them.
It is very interesting to watch them grow.

I am anxiously waiting to harvest the potatoes. I believe I will get a good yield from the seed potatoes because they are firm in touch and each one has many eyes. Additionally, they were already sprouting when I received them.

There should be seperate instructions for commerical and individual. I know the individual info was there but it was intergrated with the commerical info which my husband and I found a little confusing.

Once you have had fresh potatoes from the garden there is no going back. Of all the vegetables I grow the potatoes are the ones my family drools over, creamy, flavorful, the best you will every have. There were some problems with getting these Yukon, they come from the source and not GCS so someone said they had been sent but they had not been delivered a month after ordering and it took some tracking down by both myself and GCS and I finally got them 6 weeks after ordering. They have been planted (potato bag) and have just started to pop up.

They look good but I won't know how they will taste until summer's end.

The seed potatoes went into the potatobags. They have sprouted nicely (every one!) and are now growing at a steady clip.
