I use these on the compost holder in the garage. They work really well, I just have to becareful not to get them wet. That means I have to pay attention (which I should anyway)and empty it on a regular basis.

Have been using this in kitchen bucket system for over 10 years continuously. I have replaced the filter about every 4 months or so. When filter is installed correctly and kept dry it eliminates about 99 percent of oder from pail (I keep my pale under the sink in a vented cabinet). I highly recommend this system for keeping kitchen vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and egg shells out of land fills.
