Candle came with label: "battery operated candle", which was confusing -- no access to any battery and you plug it in. Lack of switch makes me wonder if the LED bulb, being on constantly, will save any energy, over time, over a regular bulb switched off during the day. Light could prove to be too dim, but I'll use it at least through the year-end holidays. Will recommend with reservations.

I bought one of these nightlights several years ago, and it's still working great. I use it in the kitchen to give a little light if someone comes in at night. I absolutely love it! I love the look of the candle - so much more attractive than other nightlights! I have received many compliments on it. I've never even thought that I would like to be able to turn it off, as other reviewers have said - I like it being "lit" all the time, and it's easy enough to unplug if you want to.

I love not having to replace those little lightbulbs inthe nightlights! This design is also understated-- not some bright plastic kiddie nightlight. Just enough light to help a guest find their way to the bathroom or kitchen.
