If you’re heading to the garden with just one tool, this garden knife is the one to take. Its stainless steel blade has a serrated edge for opening bags of mulch or soil, a sharpened straight edge for slicing through sod, a notch for cutting twine and a "dandelion popper" on the tip. A 12" measurement scale helps you plant bulbs at the proper depth.

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
It is very useful to remove weeds from the garden as well as between stepping stones. I also use it to plant bulbs as well as plants.

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
Planting annuals; for digging the hole and making cuts through root bound plants prior to planting. This is my second knife, the first I put down and can't find it. May have thrown it out with trimmings, etc.

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
serrated blade works great for trimming plants in the fall, instead of switching back and forth between blade & shears.

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
I bought this for its notched tip that is purported to help pop out dandelions. I didn't find it that effective for that, but the side that is a knife was very effective ... at cutting open my knee. I had it next to be in the grass, knelt down and felt a stinging pain. I looked and saw blood gushing. 3 hours and 6 stitches later, I put it in a bucket. It's still there. I will use it again but with considerably more caution.

This is my weeder, cultivator, trowel for small jobs (ie rebuilding squash mounds). It works both for digging weeds out and scraping the weeds off the top of the earth. I really love this, I bought a bunch as gifts for my friends.

I wanted a tool which would serve more than one purpose, in order to save space in my gardeners toolbox. This fit the bill!

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
A japanese digging knife this is NOT! The lack of a pointed tip makes it useless to dig holes or plunge into the earth like a dibbler. the notched weed popper contantly clogs up and further prevents any soil penetration.. that cutting notch catches and cuts fingers, palms, pantlegs..most everything but the cord. and dear sweet verbena watch that serrated edge.
tho increasingly difficult to find in retail stores, i will find the japanese knife! This faux copy was a total waste of money and any time trying to use it.

I bought this knife to replace an old, worn down Navy Diver's knife I'd used for years to weed. Happy to report it was a good investment. And the old knife was donated to a display at the Seabee Museum in Port Hueneme, CA!

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
I bought this tool to replace a lost small trowel I sorely missed. Instead of just replacing the trowel, however, it does everything as advertised and does everything extremely well. I like it so much, I've already purchased another as a backup!

Comments about Multi-Purpose Garden Knife:
I had been looking for a large trowel to replace one I mistakenly threw away and bought this by default. I've been using it a great deal and don't miss my trowel at all.
