With this ingenious underwater vacuum, you don't need to empty your pond to clean it. Just connect the Muck Vac to your garden hose and vacuum away muck, algae, sand and fish waste. It's powerful yet gentle; you can usually leave fish and plants in place.
"The Muck Vac worked perfectly to help clear out all the accumulated debris of winter. Made a dirty job easy."

Comments about Muck Vac:
The mud vac is a very weak tool for outdoor ponds that would have fish and falling leaves/debris. It might work if the pond was extremely clean but then we wouldn't need it.

Comments about Muck Vac:
This product is easy to use and works quite well. However, when the telescoping handle is extended, it is not sturdy and is difficult to maneuver. Also, the brush tends to become dislodged. Because it works on a vaccuum principle, it can only be used in a situation when the head is lower than than the outlet hose, therefore it can only be used in the deep areas and not on the rock areas leading to the pond.

Comments about Muck Vac:
The suction is good, cleans fish pond easily. Not to fussy about dragging or trying to hold the water hose which can get heavy, but overall, I think it does the job. I am satisfied with it.

Comments about Muck Vac:
thoroughly cleans pond & waterfall, but difficult to connect hose; when extended collapses too easily. needs improved connections overall.

Difficult to use.
Comments about Muck Vac:
If you are cleaning an ornamental pond, I'm sure the Muck Vac would do a good job. If you are cleaning a fish pond however, I'd say the Muck Vac takes out much too much water in the cleaning process to be valuable---you work hard to get a good balance of ph and other chemicals in the water for healthy fish. This cleaning system gets rid of so much water it seems you'd be almost starting over when the pond bottom got somewhat clean.

Everything is great about...it really sucks up the muck...you have to get it primed but it's not a problem once you read the instructions...*smiles*

I use this to clean out my small pond; it really fills the bill!

Comments about Muck Vac:
Works well but needs a larger intake pipe to accommodate gravel and larger debris. My pond is large (20' by 40')and it is taking a while to get it done. Otherwise, I love it!
