Comments about Muck Shoe:
It is the best gardening shoe that I have ever worn. I have been wearing the same pair for 5 years every day in the summer and in the winter for outside chores. The comfort of the shoes is "over the top". I have recommended the shoes to my Master Gardener friends and several have ordered them already.

Great to quickly slip on and walk the dog. Also good for quick gardening or other outdoor uses like filling the bird feeders.

This is the second pair I have owned. The first lasted about 5 years with heavy use.

Comments about Muck Shoe:
This is my second pair of these hardworking shoes. Living in Florida, breathability is important, as is comfort. These shoes work hard, last long and keep my feet comfortable while I work. When my old ones broke down after many years of daily use, there was no question I would get another pair. I spend quite a few hours each day in them.

Comments about Muck Shoe:
Had to return this product as it was to big and too wide. I had ordered my regular shoe size and was amazed how big it was. But I really didn't like the weight of it on my feet and think that I would find it tiring after wearing it a while.

Comments about Muck Shoe:
My husbands first pair finally wore out and he needed another pair for fishing and outdoor gardening. He wanted only Mucks.

Comments about Muck Shoe:
I use these are backyard/gardening shoes. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm these mucks are! They have been great through our recent wet weather which turned our lawn to soup. I ordered a conservative size based upon earlier reviews, which means they are about a half size too big. As a result, my everyday socks get rubbed off my heels by the back of the shoe. I'll need to find tighter socks that won't budge. Overall, a great product!

Comments about Muck Shoe:
These are great to slip on to go outside for a quick errand as well as to do serious gardening. The elastic material around the ankle holds them on but is not tight nor uncomfortable. In colder weather they are warm inside. I got one pair and it was so-o-o comfortable I got another as a spare.

Comments about Muck Shoe:
I bought a pair of these muck shoes 5years ago. I wear them cleaning stalls and in the garden. The shoes are still waterproof but the soles had worn smooth after years of use and had no traction in the mud or snow. I reluctently had to replace them in what would have been their sixth season.
Fantastic product!

Comments about Muck Shoe:
I wear these shoes at least 4 days a week, all day, from April through October. A pair worn all day every day, and worn primarily on garden soil (and on pavement when running errands in between gardens), lasts me a good year. If you don't wear yours that hard, I imagine they will last much longer.
Once they wear out, the soles can get smooth and it's time for a new pair -- at that point, they can be quite slippery when wet. Eventually, usually after slickness starts to appear, holes can be worn in the bottom, admitting water.
Unlike shoes with a sewn-on upper, I have not gotten upper/lower side splits because there is no upper/lower seam to split. This characteristic translates into a drier and more durable shoe.
It is much more breathable than an all-plastic shoe would be. It is a good combination of breathable yet dry.
The firmly flexible top conforms to one's foot because it appears to be made of neoprene (wet suit material). There are no blisters for me from day one of wearing, forward. the sole, however,is not highly flexible -- instead, it is ridged for grip and rigid.
I have gone through heavy wearing on three pairs of these shoes. I save the old mucks and wear them in a pinch. Slick soles have consistently been how they wear out; some have eventually worn holes in the bottom.
I think this is a very well made product and it is the standard against which I look at any other gardening footwear. It seems to run true to size (I am a B width with AA heel). I wear Mucks in my shoe size with thick socks. The socks get a little perspiration on them but I find them quite comfortable.
This is not a boot to wear if you need the kind of foot protection that comes from a rigid toe, for example.
One less star only because I wish the soles lasted hard wearers like me even longer!
