The squirrels have not attempted to open the new version. The woodpecks and other birds love them. They are easy to fill and are very economical. On my 2nd set.

Adorable birdfeeders! We get a lot of feathered visitors feeding on them. One hinged lid snapped off after the second filling, but it was easily repaired with a little wire. Still looks great!

These are great. I was given them for Christmas and ordered 10 boxes for Christmas presants for next year. They are a little small and have to be filled often, but they are so cute and the birds love them. The squirrels try to love them but to no avail. They add color and are wonderful hanging in the trees.

Birds loved them in the back yard, avoided them in the front yard - go figure! Love these - ordered 2 more sets for gifts. They stay securely latched and hang securely in bushes and trees. Safflower seeds work well - cardinals and finches will eat these, squirrels and starlings won't! Black oilers are the right size as well, but do attract squirrels. Very cute!

Wish the mesh openings were a little tighter...
a lot of seed drops to the ground when filling.
Easy for the squirrels to steal and roll into
the woods.

The holes appear to be too big to hold any kind of seed that I would use. I even tried the big sunflower seeds (not the oilers),and the seeds just fell right through the slots. I might try to put suet in. I don't think they are very squirrel-proof, but they are cute. Maybe my garden has too many birds to make these globe feeders a practical idea for me. They are still cute. I'm sure I'll figure out some way to use them. But I'm disappointed that the website survey came out before this review option. And the link didn't work the first few times. It just took me to the catalogue.

These 3 feeders are especially great in limited spaces..( really great for any space)
They are attractive and real easy to refill.
I have 2 cats and the feeders are "CAT" proof.
Get 2 sets and have the whole flock in your back yard!.

These were a gift for a friend and she told me that she can easily see these feeders from her window because they are so bright!
