This is a big disapointment! and over hyped. Upon unpacking, the empty tube fell over and the shaker top fell off. Hot glued poorly. Definately not worth the cost.

Comments about Milky Spore Applicator:
Last time I applied the spores, I did not buy the tube. This year however, even though the reviews were saying it was nothing more than a cardboard tube, I purchased it. As a fact, yes, it is nothing more than a cardboard tube with a plastic filter at the bottom. So, indeed, I would not use it over wet grass, or in rainy weather, as it would surely deteriorate and clog-up. Having said that, I found it very useful: - For one thing it cleaner: It protected my pants and shirt from getting totally caked up in the spores.- Also, it saves time: It can be loaded with a larger volume of the spores, and there is less time spend re-loading it. Thank you !

Comments about Milky Spore Applicator:
While you clearly need such an applicator to apply large amounts of milky spore, I was disappointed that the applicator end broke when I tried to open the tab. I ended up taping a make-shift end on the applicator and got all the product down. Just think it is really worth about $2.99.

Comments about Milky Spore Applicator:
The applicator's distribution head fell out during use. It needs to be secured better. I finally wrapped tape around the cardboard tube and over the edges of the applicator head to hold it in place. It then worked fine.

In all honesty, I have not used this product yet. However, I was extremely disappointed when I received it because it is nothing more than a sturdy cardboard tube with a plastic hole on the bottom. Not impressed. I rated it 3 stars only because I haven't used it yet....

Comments about Milky Spore Applicator:
The first time we bought this product was in 1999 and still have it. We have moved since we bought the first one & have a much bigger garden, but I find this applicator is still well suited for our needs. We not only have used it for the milky spore application, but for granule type applicatios, ie, herbicides, etc. We use a funnel to put products into the applicator & unlike some of the other reviews, we apply our products when the soil is dry & water the soil after our products are applied. We have not had the problem of the applicator clogging. I'm buying another one because the first, while still usable, was left in the rain recently & we're not certain how much longer it will hold up since we use it several times during the spring & summer months.

Comments about Milky Spore Applicator:
The applicator doesn't work as claimed. The tip clogged so much the first time I attempted to use it, I gave up and got a teaspoon to hand dispense the milky spore.
