Exclusive | Put Our Vermont-Built Medium Garden Cart to Work in Your Garden!
- Tough, long-lasting cart holds up to 400 pounds — as much as 8 wheelbarrows!
- Even weight distribution and big, pneumatic wheels make pushing and pulling easy
- End slides open for easy loading, unloading and dumping
- VIDEO: Tour our Vermont factory
For over 25 years, our garden carts have been a beloved tool of gardeners everywhere. That’s because they were designed specifically to meet the needs of gardeners, not adapted from an industrial utility cart. The big pneumatic wheels roll easily over rough terrain. High sides prevent loose loads like mulch and compost from bouncing out. The axle is positioned to distribute the weight and balance the load. The long handle lets you push or pull with equal ease and has a comfortable neoprene grip. Tough, rust-proof aluminum frame; end slides open for easy dumping. Once you own one of our carts, it’s hard to imagine getting by without it. In fact, many of the original carts are still out there, working hard. Rated "Excellent" by a leading consumer magazine.

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
I loved the look of this cart, so when my old garden cart rotted out, I bought this one. Big mistake, as the inflatable (not solid rubber) tires have gone flat at least 3 times, due to a poorly-designed rim, which has BOLTS STICKING INTO THE TUBES. Gardener's Supply Co. was kind enough to send us free of charge a new wheel (we only requested a tube), however when I just went to use it today--flat again. Desperately needs SOLID TIRES!

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
I just gave my old (maybe 25 yrs.?) small Vermont-made cart to my daughter. For about half its life it's sat outside because I no longer had room in my garage. I've replaced a few screws on it and it has a small hole in the bottom where the wood has rotted. But it still works great. The cart has lasted amazingly well sitting outside. Of course, I live in South Texas, not Vermont. But still, this has been one of my favorite gardening items over the years. So light but can hold heavy loads, and one doesn't have to worry about it tipping over like a wheelbarrow. Great for women.

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
I built one of these from a kit about 25 years ago and it's a extremely good cart. Recently I replaced the wheels and put on new plywood and I'm ready to go for another 25. I remember when I was a kid and my father had a wheelbarrow, how I hated it as it would tip from one side to the other. The only nit is the 'U' shaped support bar will clip your heels if you pull it facing forward with your hands behind you on handle. I also don't have the sliding front feature but even so this cart has seen a ton of use. Just think how many things are that useful and last this long. If I needed a new one I would not hesistate to get another.

- Many uses
- Supports Heavy Weights
Cons
- Breaks
- Plywood rots
Best Uses

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
A very usefull cart, but plywood sides & bottom will rot if left outside. Lasted about 4 years. I have replaced with new stained plywood bottom & sides I made myself..could not find replacements. Cart sides & bottom should be made with a longer lasting material. I see now that a cover is offered, which new buyers might consider.

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
One of my tires split and I cannot locate another one anywhere. I have searched the web site and I cannot find the parts. Great cart but without a new tire it will end up as a planter.

Cons
- Assembly is difficult

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
Asked for this for Christmas. My husband is not handy, I am. I am short 2 of the t-bolts needed for assembly. Or maybe, I am not. The instructions are not particularly clear and once I finish the assembly, I may find that I have inserted 2 t-bolts somewhere that they were not suppose to go. It does not need to be this hard.

Comments about Medium Gardener's Supply Cart:
Like childbirth, the joy of the result dims the pain of delivery. The assembly of this cart is almost impossible - holes in the metal frame do not line up and must be redrilled - not a project for an amateur. But once it is together, this cart is amazing. Makes heavy loads a breeze to move.
