- Made from long-lasting bamboo
- Mason bees are small, non-stinging beneficial insects
Boost your garden's productivity by providing a happy home for peaceful, non-stinging Mason bees. Slightly smaller than honeybees, mason bees are incredible pollinators. Each one visits as many as 1000 blooms per day 20 times as many as a honeybee! Hang this natural bamboo house against a tree or wall where it will get morning sun and attract mason bees. Female bees fill the bamboo tubes with their eggs, and nectar and pollen for the young to eat.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
We hung our first bee house in the back courtyard. We had noticed no honeybees the past few years which is really bad news for gardeners and anyone who enjoys eating. The mason bee house was filled in two years. Our vegies and blueberry bushes profited from these polinators - our new resident mason bees. Also, these bees do not sting!

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I bought one of these for myself and one for my son. I thought it was unique and an unusual conversation piece. Not so sure I buy into the non stinging Mason Bee thing, though. Everyone tells me there is no such thing as a non stinging bee? But I like it, I have it hanging on a fence behind my flower garden and it's pretty cool looking.

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I just installed this, so I don't know if we have anyone living in it yet, but I like how it looks, and it was a snap to hang. With honeybees in such dire straits, I think it behooves us all to do what we can for our native bees, too!

Comments about Mason Bee House:
I hung this on my fence between my fig tree and my crabapple tree. Hopefully, it will lure some bees to a new home. No bees yet (it's been a few weeks), but spring is starting later than usual. Not sure when the bees roost.
The design looks pretty up close and across the yard. I bought a second as a wedding gift for a couple of Sierra Club friends. :)

I saw a lot of activity around my mason house installed on my toolshed, so I have bought another one to put in an adjacent area. Good pollinators need all the help they can get!
