- Dress Up Boring Spots
I stain these to match my fence. They look wonderful. Hold lots of dirt, so you can plant pretty much anything in them. I use them to break up the long, boring concrete run of the driveway and on the back deck in a spot that needs some pizazz and color. Style matches everything and the are nice stand alone planters. Hold water well and can be paired with a shelf resting between them for even more color!

I have not filled the containers as yet because it has been too cold to plant. I was very disappointed in the quality of the product and thing it is only worth the price I paid and this was not a truely sale product. I have added the expense of painting the boxes because of the quality of the green wood and the wood holes. First product order that I am very disappointe with.

The wood had lots of flaws. It looked like someone filled it with silicone to try and repair it. It comes in 5 pieces to assemble. The screws that had already been installed before I got it had splintered the wood. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this product.
I ordered two of these after our outdoor growing season was over. They arrived very promptly; they were assembled easily by a 69 year old lady; they are very pleasing to look at, and I will have to fight my cat for them in the Spring (she's decided they made very good places to lurk and sleep.) I may be ordering another set!

The most dissapointing thing about this planter is the wood that is it made out of. The wood is spongey, soft, you can cut it with a finger nail, and it smells like some kind of chemical cedar. I wound up painting it, to try and extend it's life and hide the terrible smell. I am going to be using this planter outside, but I do not trust it to last more than one season. We shall wait and see.

I liked the planter. I don't think in the long run the wood will hold up. It is probably good for a couple of years. I have one a cousin made and it is at least 10 years old. But I was thrilled to get it.
