Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
Very useful and efficient. Much more efficient than raking, bagging and grinding up, especially if one knows how to manage a long cord (just use a large garbage can and leave the plug-in end of the cord dangling out for +/- 10 ft, then quickly put the rest of the cord into the can or barrel hand over hand.) Plug in the Leafmaster--and the cord will pull out for well over 100 ft. without tangling.
The only CON is the quality and design of the sewing of the bag. The zipper gets caught in the thread ends and the zipper backing. Terribly frustrating. Could be better designed to be more functional. The sewing around the bag's pick-up insert also comes undone easily. I have had to re-sew it already! If this design flaw were corrected, the Leafmaster would be an almost perfect leaf collection and grinder mechanism. It is good for making a compost pile for mulching gardens, trees, and flower beds. An efficient tool of recycling and making good use of a natural resource.

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
Use the vacuum feature annually to clean out shrub beds of leaves/debris. This vacuum does a great job of shredding leaves and sucking up gum balls. Unfortunately, the bag disintegrates, ripping open at the sewn seam on the bottom after very limited use. This is due to exceptionally poor design. What a shame Toro ruined a good leaf vacuum with such a shoddy bag to capture the debris.

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
The tool is good for getting leaves up off the ground without a lot of effort. However, if you intend to use the chewed up leaves for mulch, look elsewhere. The leaves don't get shredded enough the first time through for mulch.

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
I was a little skeptical about this product when I ordered it, but the online reviews were very good in general. After using the TORO extensively this fall, I have to agree with everyone else - used in it's vacuum mode, this is now my *favorite* leaf management tool. The shredded leaf mulch is very fine and great for use on landscape beds. The vacuum suction is strong enough to take care of large wet piles of Sycamore leaves without jamming. (Well, it jammed only once due to a large twig... but this was easy to "clear"). The only negative I can report is that it is a little awkward to figure out the best way to carry unit over the shoulder with the vac sack attached.

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
My husband was wary of getting an electric blower, but he really enjoyed using this model around our yard, where there are a TON of leaves! I just wish it would stay more solidly plugged into an outlet...other than that, it's great!

Only lack is a grip under the main body of the motor. I found myself holding it there with no real place to hold on.

Like the zipper on the bag - easy to unload. It is heavy and hard to hold for shorter people.

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
I bought this originally to vacuum leaves and occasionally blow them. I wanted to be able to mulch my natural areas with leaves from my yard instead of buying mulch. I was able to do this quite easily, although the bag did get quite heavy when full and my shoulders got a little sore (I am a 55 year old woman, small in size). The machine was very easy to put together and I was out there vacuuming within 10 minutes of opening the box (after I ran to [...] for a new cord that met the gauge specifications...). What I really love about it though, is the way it blows leaves! It was easy to convert to this mode and now I don't think I'll ever vacuum again! I just blew out entire driveway and patio in about 20 minutes...the leaves were wet from rain and it was no problem. Love this product!

Comments about Leafmaster 3-in-1:
We live in an established neighborhood with many mature trees. Long after the lawn crews are finished mowing the lawns, they are in the yards removing leaves. They blow off all the mulch you have placed on your beds, and still leave little piles of leaves in landscaping. With this product, you can vacuum leaves and make mulch for your beds or just scatter the finely ground leaves over your yard for a natural soil replenishment. You can adjust the speed of the vacuum so that you pick up leaves and not your mulch. The only downside is that I must be careful not to vacuum in acorns and pecans that also fall in the yard, as the manual indicates this could harm the motor. I do have to pay attention to the process. It is amazing how much smaller the volume of the leaves when finely chopped compared to whole leaves. As a blower, the machine is quite powerful. I am a smallish woman and have no trouble carrying the machine, but I do empty the bag when it is half full.
