Sometimes have to pass over leaves a few times; works best with a brisk pace/slow jog. Wish the handle was a little bit taller. Much faster results than raking. We would definitely recommend this product - had lots of fun!

I ordered this last year. It arrived without the hardware (which was sent promptly) but I did not assemble and use it until this year. Very disappointing. Might pick up a light scattering of leaves, does not work for a heavy fall. Also, the collection basket on mine keeps falling off so it makes more work than it saves.

This is not a product for major leaf-pick up, but has definitely helped for smaller tasks--the driveway, sidewalk, initial clean-up when leaves first started coming down. The bag doesn't fit into it's slot very snugly, but it still works. As with previous products purchased from Gardeners Supply, it's a high-quality product, but was a little difficult to assemble. I like the fact that there is no maintance and it's easy to operate (although a little difficult to maneuver in bumpy parts of the lawn). This has been useful to help with overall leaf pick up, and definitely fits the bill of "easy on the back". I would recommend, especially for smaller leaf cleanup tasks.

I remember these leaf collectors from my childhood and searched for one. Tired of the noise from the leaf blowers, I thought this was a great alternative. It works great, and my neighbors seem to appreciate it. Of course I still need the blower for bushes and hard to get at areas, but the leaf collector has maintained the majority of the yard.

My daughter got me this for my birthday and I love it! I read some of the reviews before I decided I would like to give it a try. Many say they don't like it because it doesn't pick up all the leaves. This is true, however, I can keep my yard under control now. I come home for lunch & sweep my front yard in just a few minutes. My neighbors are so envious!!!

We have 5 big trees on our lot and can rake up to 30+ bags of leaves every spring. This helped out a lot. Lots of walking and working it, but still better then raking. If the leaves are moist and packed down, it's best to go around and loosen them up first, but after that it works like a charm. If it's windy, you might get leaves flying over the bag, but just change direction.
After a few years my bag deteriorated, so I'm looking for replacement parts!

It is lightweight and put together quite easily. It will pick up some of the leaves, but not as many as you would like. You will still have to rake leaves. Also the catch bin is quite small for its use.

I am using the sweeper to pick up thousands of gum balls that fall from the tree.

The only problem is the handle bar does not come up high enough and, therefore, I am in a stooped position while pushing the sweeper.

It's a great product for someone that has minimal leaves and a very flat lawn to use it on. Unfortunately, my blower and rake does a better job.

After many years of leaf raking (I am almost 80) I find the leaf collector perfect for sweeping leaves off lawns. It doesn't collect every one but it gets enough off to let the grass flourish. Disposing of the leaves is also easy, involving very little lifting and bending.
