I saw the ribbon in the magazine and thought it was a cute idea. I purchased 1 in silver, thinking I would use it on my Christmas tree, but it was too short. I use it as a decoration on my dresser. Battery operation is convenient and lasts a long time. I went to the website to order more and they were all gone. : (

Was so impressed with these, just ordered five more. Will use some to decorate my parents new assisted living apartment for the holidays. A quick & easy effort for big results! I would normally prefer the silver, but when the first order came in the silver was too bright for my taste. The soft amber of the gold was perfect. This sale price is good. Would not have paid the original price.

I wasn't sure what I would do with my LED ribbon light when I ordered it, but once it arrived and I saw how attractive it was, I used it as accent lighting along my fireplace mantle. The battery powering of this unit allows for operation in areas inconvenient to outlets (such as my fireplace mantle); however, I learned that while it can be on for a long while without fading, too many accidental over-nights on will be deleterious to your battery supply. Buy back-up batteries!
