    Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:

I have had a compost crock that narrowed at the top, while attractive, not very user friendly. This one has straight sides that allow very easy emptying. I have gotten scratched by the edge of the handle, otherwise, perfect.

This looks nice enough to leave on the kitchen counter. It is heavy with a sturdy handle. The filter stops any odors from escaping.

        Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:

I was so excited to get this compost pail. Most pails are not very attractive, to say the least. This (I have in cobalt blue) is very, very pretty. It looks great in my kitchen. I've been using it for about three months, still same filter, no odor.

BUT...this is my second one. When the first one arrives, the lid was in pieces. Customer service was great, sent another one unit immediately, didn't even require me to pack up the bottom and return it (just asked me to please recycle it, which I did). The second one arrived whole. Within a week there was a chip - bright white showing through that cobalt blue.

By this time there are several. I am not particularly "hard" on my stuff, and my kids are all grown, so I don't know why this is such a problem. I'll keep on using it, but I'm still on the look-out for something else - maybe stoneware? - that this will not be a problem.

I just wanted a compost bin for my kitchen that was attractive. I purchased the filter and the wonderful liner bags. Perfect solution! I love the cobalt blue color too!

Sits on my kitchen counter and is carried out to the compost pile daily. I am growing a few fruit flies, but regular emptying and washing clears that up. The knob on the lid is not easy to grab with wet hands. I've already chipped the lid!

I love this garbage crock. But it came with a chip on the rim. The red color really is nice looking and it is perfect to keep garbage in till ready to dispose of. I just wish it did not come damaged!

                Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:

I've wanted a large-capacity, odor-free, attractive, and sturdy compost container for my kitchen counter for years. This one fits the bill perfectly. I filled it up and it sat for a few days that way because we had yet another snowstorm and I didn't want to walk out to the compost pile. Despite a few days of neglect, there was no odor in the kitchen, and then it was easy to clean after we emptied it.
