Collecting kitchen scraps for composting shouldn't detract from your kitchen décor. This sleek, ceramic crock is attractive enough to keep on the kitchen counter, so there is no need to hide it under the sink. Glazed inside and out, the crock will never stain or absorb food odors, and it has an activated-carbon filter to trap odors. Choose from Brilliant White, Cobalt Blue or Red.

Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:
Many years ago our son asked for a compost pot for christmas. I had seen one in your catalog and ordered it. Being new to on-line buying I mistakenly ordered two compost pots. when I realized my mistake I decided to keep the extra pot and give it to my husband for Christmas.
we've kept the pot on the counter for these many years and use it daily. we empty it once or twice a week. We have a great compost pile in a corner of our suburban garden
This christmas our daughter asked for a pot and I knew just where to get it: Gardener's Supply. She loves her new pot too.

Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:
Many positives about this product. However, because of its size and weight when full its a bit unwieldy to empty into a larger compost bin. The first time we did this a little piece of the base chipped off.
To make it easier to use, we decided to line the crock with BioBags so we can just lift the bag out of the crock for emptying.
It would be good to include ordering info. on the filter bag as there are only 2 filters included.
Thanks for asking!

Love the compost pot - but the knob for the handle has already been broken off. Guess ceramic is not the best material for such.

It looks like my 10 yr old compost crock but not as substantial and chome handle replaced by rusty looking iron handle.

Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:
I lifted crock out of the shipping box and set it on the table. I caught hold of the metal handle to transfer the crock to the counter and CRACK...the part the handle was attached to snapped off and flew across the room. I'm hoping that the company will replace the item, b/c I really wanted this pretty kitchen composter to replace the succession of plastic containers and glass jars I've been using.

Daughter was complaining about plastic pail used to collect kitchen scrapes. So I bought her this one in white for Christmas.

Comments about Kitchen Compost Crock:
A most attractive efficient product for collecting kitchen scraps. I purchased these as gifts for the composters in my family who required a heavy duty, easy to clean, easy to carry vessel to store scraps for the compost pile. Totally fits all requirements!
