I grind the kelp meal in a coffe grinder to a finer powder.i then put it in a nylon stocking and soak it in rain water in a 5 gallon bucket for few minutes thing ring it out. I repeat this several times,then do the same thing with fresh worm castings. I then add 1/2 cup mollases,2tbls.of fish fertilizer and i use a small minnow bucket aerator pump to cycle this for 36 hrs.or so.i then dillute this to make 20 gallons of tea. It has to be used immediately to prevent the microbial goodies or whatever from dying off. The mix has to be kept warm as it is being aerated..85 degrees. IMO. I have have found it does help.

Product is easy to use. Somewhat difficult to see when added to soil. Too early to tell if this product is going to improve growth, plant health, production or other visible rewards. Will update review after season. Not a product for the impatient gardener who wants to see fast results.

This stuff is expensive, but worth it. Only downside is that tomatoes and other veggies get so huge they outgrow their supports, but the increase in productivity is dramatic.

Last year, I planted potatoes for the first time using the cloth potato bins you feature. It was so successful, that I'm going to do it again this year. I thought I'd be true to my Irish heritage and fertilize them with your organic kelp meal since my ancestors used seaweed to increase the yield of their lazy beds.

I wouldn't use this stuff it it wasn't all natural. We have used this product with wonderful results for years. I don't use anything other than Kelp meal and an scant amount of greensand when planting. This Kelp is easy to use to side dress your plants throughout the season should they look a little stressed due to weather conditions. Keeps everything healthy from root to tips and flowers & perennials are just glorious.

My roses had just begun to add their new growth when I added this kelp meal (together with bone meal) to the soil surrounding them. Then I went away for a long weekend, and when I returned 5 days later, the roses were literally covered with new growth. One shoot had gained nearly 18 inches in just that short time! I've never seen anything like this result before, so I think that kelp meal is nothing short of miraculous.

It is too soon to evaluate the total effect on my plants since not enough time has passed. I used it hoping for greater height on one particular annual plant type which I grow from seed. I won't be able to evaluate it's effect on the height for a while, but I have noticed a better greening in leaves which, before the kelp meal, showed signs of yellowing.

I am hopeful.

I mixed this up with the Greensand and put a 1/2 cup in the planting hole for my vegies. Let me tell you, they love me for it! It added the nutrients that my soil was missing and my plants are so healthy looking and loaded with veggies.
