Inventory Planner

We are seeking an Inventory Planner to join our Merchandising/Inventory Control team who will manage our product orders and maintain inventory levels to support all our businesses. The planner will use forecasted demand tools, prior history, and order flow/completion to anticipate and meet our customer demands and meet our corporate fill-rate goals. This person will also be responsible for managing the dropship process for all SKUs across all product categories. Our ideal candidate has purchasing experience in a direct marketing environment, with international purchasing experience; and a four-year college degree, or equivalent life experience.

Jobs at our Vermont Stores: Williston and Burlington

We have a variety of openings in our Burlington and Williston garden centers. In general, we're looking for reliable and quick learners who are enthusiastic, outgoing, upbeat (no matter what), flexible, team-oriented and thrive in a busy store. The ability to work weekends is a must for all positions.

Retail Marketing Supervisor: You will develop and execute strong multi-channel marketing and events programs and create collateral marketing and advertising material. The ideal candidate has five years of marketing experience, including experience in print-and-web production, media relations and event creation and implementation, excellent organizational skills and strong graphic design skills for print and web.

Administrative Assistant (Williston): You will provide exceptional service to our customers by managing inbound phone calls and e-mail. You will help departments achieve their goals. The candidate is proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel, and has excellent customer service, communication and listening skills.

Yard Lead (Williston): You will direct and support Yard Associates and ensure efficient, professional and friendly service to both internal and external customers; pull and prepare orders for outgoing deliveries; and help maintain the plants on site. The ideal candidate understands horticultural terminology, plant pests and diseases, and has at least two years experience supervising people or tasks. In addition, the candidate has experience operating heavy equipment.

Inventory Lead (both stores): You will receive inbound and outbound freight. You will direct seasonal Inventory Associates in both live and hard goods receiving areas. Our ideal candidate has two years of inventory-related experience, two years of direct customer service experience, and POS and inventory management system experience. Advanced-level horticultural knowledge is a plus.

Customer Service Lead (Williston): You will oversee the hard goods selling space and the Customer Service team. In addition, you will be the store expert on front-end operations, ensuring all customers are engaged and receive the best service possible. The ideal candidate has two years of experience in direct customer service and POS; excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; previous experience supervising people or tasks; hard good and/or gift merchandising experience; and a basic knowledge of gardening products.

Customer Service Associate (both stores): You will ensure exceptional service experience for all customers — including welcoming the customer, completing the POS transaction, and loading purchases into the vehicle. Our ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. He or she also has the ability, patience and enthusiasm to research solutions, answer questions, and communicate with customers. Must have experience with POS systems.

Greenhouse Customer Service Associate (Williston): You will maintain and merchandise the greenhouse; act as a houseplant, vegetable and annual plant consultant; and design container plantings and re-pot plants. Our ideal candidate has an intermediate level of plant knowledge with a focus on annuals, houseplants, tropicals, veggies and herbs. In addition, the candidate has excellent skills in customer service and communication. The candidate should be able to create beautiful plantings in containers. Should be proficient with POS systems.

Commercial Customer Service Associate (Williston): You will build strong customer relationships, provide superior service and deliver what is promised with speed and accuracy. This position will shift from a primarily wholesale (during the gardening season) to a retail (in the off season). The ideal candidate has excellent customer service and communication skills; intermediate gardening knowledge, with a focus on trees, shrubs and perennials; and some basic design and landscaping skills.
