Instructions for the Rope Candle

WARNING! Read and follow all safety precautions and instructions BEFORE lighting the Rope Candle.

NEVER leave a burning candle unattended!

Caution! The Rope Candle can be fragile when cold and subject to breakage; therefore, be sure the candle is warmed to room temperature before use of any kind.

Step 1. Remove all packaging from the Rope Candle and Holder. Make sure the wax has warmed to room temperature before going to Step 2.

Step 2. If the coiled Rope Candle arrives "lopsided" on the Holder, wait for wax to warm, then reshape the coil so that it stacks evenly.

Step 3. Squeeze the handles together to open the handle vise. Pull the wick end of the candle up through the vise. Position the wick end no more than 3 inches above the vise. Straighten the candle in the vise, then close the vise.

Step 4. Firmly press together the vise to tightly close it around the candle.

Important! For safety, you must completely close the vise around the candle. Immediately extinguish the candle once it burns down to the vise. Make sure the candle is fully extinguished before opening the handle or before raising the candle. For best results, extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.

Step 5. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting and when relighting the candle. Remove the wick trimmings. This will keep the flame low, help avoid excessive dripping, and prevent trimmings from igniting.

Step 6. Let the candle and vise handle cool before adjusting or relighting the candle.

Candle Safety Precautions

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting and each time before relighting.
For safety, you must completely close the vise around the candle.
Immediately extinguish the candle once it burns down to the vise. Make sure the candle is fully extinguished before opening the handle or before raising the candle. For best results, extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer.
Metal parts can be hot to the touch when candle is lit. Let the candle and handle cool before readjusting or relighting the candle.
Burn the candle out of reach of children and pets.
Keep the candle away from other flammable materials and away from draughts.
Do not move the candle while burning or while wax is still liquid.
Remove any dripped wax and wick trimmings between uses.
Store in a cool dry place when not in use. To prevent the wax from melting, do not leave the candle in a sunny window or where it will be exposed to heat or sunlight.
