Instructions for the Classic Lanterns

For safe enjoyment of this Lantern, we recommend LED Flickering Candles (item #36-367 for Medium Lantern and item #36-366 for Large Lantern). LED Flickering Candles create no heat and never burn out. If burning regular wick candles, use a candle no taller than 3 inches for the Medium Lantern and a candle no taller than 4 inches for the Large Lantern. Be careful when burning a candle and just after it has been extinguished. Glass and/or metal parts can absorb and retain heat quickly and become very hot to the touch.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Remove all packaging before use.
• Place candle in an upright position on a non-flammable holder or surface.
• Use a non-flammable plate or saucer to protect surfaces from dripping wax.
• Trim wick to 1/4-inch (1 cm) before lighting and before relighting.
• Burn candle no longer than 1 hour per diameter size of the candle.
• For example, burn a 2-inch-diameter pillar candle no more than 2 hours at a time.
• Burn out of reach of children and pets.
• Keep candle away from other flammable materials and away from draughts.
• Do not move candle while burning or when wax is still liquid.
• Extinguish with snuffer.
• Store in a cool dry place when not in use.
