Salad Bag
For growing salad greens, we recommend using Organic
Container Mix. This compost-enriched blend will ensure these
fast-growing plants have access to readily available nutrients. If you will be
planting successive crops of salad greens, we recommend incorporating our All-Purpose Fertilizer at planting time to provide a season-long supply of
nutrients.
Pre-moisten the soil and fill the bag to within 2″ of the top.
Plant your seeds, or, if transplanting, position your transplants and add more soil as needed. Press gently around the roots to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly.
For watering convenience, pair this grow bag with our Self-Watering Tray.
Herb Bag
We recommend using Organic
Container Mix. Some herbs, including rosemary,
thyme, oregano, and sage, prefer a sandier, slightly drier
growing medium, so you might want to add 1 quart of sand to
the mixture. Add 1/4 cup All-Purpose Organic Fertilizer.
Pre-moisten the soil and fill the bag to within 2″ of the top.
Plant your herbs and add more soil as needed. Press gently around the roots to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly.

Pepper Bag
We recommend using Organic
Container Mix. Add 1/2 cup All-Purpose Fertilizer.
Pre-moisten the soil and fill the bag to within 2″ of the top.
For best results, plant one pepper plant per bag. Postition the plant and press gently around the roots to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly.

Tomato Bag
We recommend using Organic
Container Mix. Add 1 cup Organic Tomato Fertilizer.
Pre-moisten the soil and fill the bag to within 2″ of the top.
For best results, plant one tomato plant per bag. Tomato plants develop roots along the entire stem, so it's good to plant it deep, burying 2-3″ of stem. This encourages growth of more roots that will feed and stabilize the plant. Press gently around the roots to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly. |
