I live in central Florida where we have hot, dry summers. I am not a container person because I can't keep up with watering. These Hydro-Mats work great. When I plant I soak the soil and it stays moist so I don't need to water for at least 2 weeks.
Buying more.

great item for those baskets in sunny areas or plants intolerant of mild drought. No more worry about dead hanging baskets after a few days of heat

I hung my hydro-mats from shade dot spot-shading devices and let them drip continuously to hydrate my gardenia plants through the summer. It helped a lot and the gardenias sustained through the hottest summer months.

I bought this in a roll. The great thing about this product is that you don't have to water as often. I use it in hanging baskets, pots , and any plantings in the ground. Dig a hole, line it with the mat, fill with soil and plant. I love using it.

Easy to use. The water does hold the mat as its said. I would strongly recommeded to any one who love flowers but hate to see its dying too quickly.

I received the "Birds Nest Planter" as a gift and couldn't imagine that I'd ever be able to grow anything in its small container. I inserted a hydromat before planting and the results have been amazing. Plants are doing well and need watering at most twice per week.

this product is wonderful. makes hot-weather watering less of a chore and has lasted in containers for two years (with a bit of new soil). especially useful for very hot & sunny conditions where container pots could dry out quickly. easier to use than the gel crystals. expensive but definitely worth the price. would give it more stars if possible!

Love these. They help keep the water in my pots and can be trimmed to fit any pot. They are great for my hanging baskets. A must have every year.
