I gave this to my brother, who lives in an apartment and has never grown anything. He was amazed that he could make something grow! He sent me photos of the plants' progress for weeks. The only problem, a minor one, was that, contrary to the catalog photo, plants did not all bloom at the same time. However, they all bloomed and were beautiful.

I called the local florist and it was not available. For a gift for my 84 yr old mother in a small apartment out of state, the Holiday Bulb Basket arrived quickly. As soon as it was opened and water added daily, it came to life near a sunny window. A very cheery window display instead of a tabletop Christmas tree. My mom loved it!

Both my elderly dad and his cousin liked them a lot. The pro is that they get to watch the bulbs grow and the flowers blossom. It is nice in that way that it takes place over a long time. The con is that it NEVER looks like the picture!
