Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
I've purchased blueberry bushes locally in the past and have had no success. These are healthy, hardy and growing rapidly. Probably next year I will purchase 2 more to expand the garden.

Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
So far our blueberry twigs look healthy and have lots of green leaves but it is going to be years before we have any berries. This is not a purchase that I'd recommend to anyone seeking immediate gratification.

Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
I have planted these blueberries side by side and they look healthy and are growing well. I've followed the enclosed instructions to the letter. Hopefully my soil will sustain them; if not, I will be working on the acidity. Looking forward to fighting the birds over blueberry rights! :)

Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
I ordered two set of bushes (two different kinds). I was very concerned when they arrived because they seemed so .... small and un-hardy. The instructions that came were detailed, although i wish they had been available on-line prior to purchase. (maybe they were and i didn't see them?). After a week of putting them in the ground they started to perk up and are doing very well! i did make the effort to test the soil for the correct conditions. the directions also indicate they don't produce for three years. ...maybe i'll check back in then!

They arrived in sturdy packaging and in excellent condition with new leaf buds forming with a well-developed root system. Planting instructions are clear and concise - just what most of us need. We're looking forward to the "fruits of our labor".

Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
The blueberry plants are already covered with leaves and are thruving. I have purchased mail order plants before that were half dead when received. My plants from Gardeners supply were healthy and tall, not limp sticks. I am very pleased.

Comments about Hardy Blueberries, Set of 2:
So far so good. I have them in the ground the growth looks healthy. I won't know until next year how they taste. Instructions say to wait until next season to allow berries to grow to get a more abundant crop. I will follow these suggestions.

Berries and other so-called small fruits generally don't require as much space as full-size fruit trees, and by growing several different types, you can enjoy home-grown fruit from early summer through late fall.

Dreaming of a backyard berry patch? An asparagus bed? Start with a raised bed. A raised bed isolates the perennial crop from invasive weeds and grasses that might creep into the growing area. All have shallow roots that don't compete well with weeds and that can be damaged by aggressive weeding tools.

If you're trying to keep birds from your crops, any scare device will work for a few days. But the most effective technique is exclusion.
